New Acquisition: C.M. Lohr Quarry

C.M. Lohr Quarry is located in Godfrey, IL, and was acquired by Kimaterials, Inc. on April 1st, 2003. The quarry was started by the Lohr Family in 1958. The quarry was in the second generation of management. Bud and Gene Lohr were running the operation at the time of the buyout.

The quarry is located 3 miles north of Godfrey on Illinois Hwy. 67. It covers over 450 acres, of which 300 acres are limestone reserves. The remaining property is used for production and overburden storage. Over the last 2 years, the plant has gone through a major overhaul and upgrade.

We have a full line of commercial stone.

Larger Stones - Uncrushed Stone 12" - Shot Rock, 6" Riprap, 4" Stone

Production Rock - 2"Clean, 2" Minus, 1" Minus, 3/4" Rock, 1/2" Chips, Emulsion Mix

Fines - 3/8" Screenings, Agricultural Lime

Sand - FA1 State Sand, Filter Bed Sand - Check Availability on Sand

Fill Dirt is Available Upon Request

At this time we are installing a lab for state testing. Currently, we have 2 sizes of Riprap and 2" Bedding Stone which are state approved. WE are in the process of certifying more state products. These products are state approved CA7, CA6, RR3, RR4 and RR5.

We look forward to expanding this new operation. The Godfrey Area is in a growing and expanding region. Two highway projects in the area will increase the access to the region and the quarry. If you have any questions or need additional information, please call our office.
